The Common Issues of Ironer Belting Installation & Maintain

The Common Issues of Ironer Belting Installation & Maintain,
How to Solve?

1. Folder cotton belt cut edge didn't seal at before fastening clipper hooks.

What problem lead: If cotton belts cut edge didn't seal, the belt will damage in short time, due to cotton threads at the cut edge lose their bond. Result: The edge quickly turns into loose fringes, causing the belt to shed threads constantly. The hooks will slip, bend, or pull out entirely within a few days. The tension will tear the unraveled end of the cotton belt horizontally, causing it to snap.

How to solve: After cut the belt, should seal the edge with adhesive tape, it can firmly hold loose threads together, preventing the hooks off when working.

2. Ironer woven belt / Canvas belt cut edge didn't seal at before fastening clipper hooks.

What problem lead: The ironing woven belt is underlying principle is identical to folder cotton belts: the woven yarn structure loses its at the cut edge, leading to thread fraying.

How to solve: But the solution is different to folder cotton belts, ironing woven belt cut edge should sealed by hot soldering iron. The operating instruction please

3. The belt cut is uneven

What problem lead: If the belt cut is uneven, when install fastener hooks the leg touch the belt edge some area deeper some area shallow. When the belts running, the shallow area will pull-out, even whole hooks deformation.

How to solve: Please use a right-angle ruler to measure the cutting position and draw the line. This will ensure a smooth and perfect cut.

4. The width of the clipper hooks flush with or exceed the belt width

What problem lead:

• As the belt tracks left and right during operation, the exposed hooks will directly strike the machine side walls, guards, or tracking guides.

• The hooks corners or the ends of the pin wire are completely exposed, when linens pass over the edge will damaging it.

• Every time the protruding hook hits a roller edge or a frame guide, it takes a massive mechanical impact. This constant hammering quickly bends the outer hooks, causes them to deform, snap, or pull out completely.

How to solve: The width of the clipper hooks must be shorter than the belt width.

5. Install clipper hooks uneven or choose wrong size

What problem lead: This happens when the fastening machine applies unequal pressure, or if the operator presses the handle unevenly, causing some hook teeth to crush the belt while others remain loose and raised. The hooks teeth will act like tiny knives, snagging and ripping high-end linens.

How to solve: Fastening the hooks by equal pressure, training more times by useless belts.

6. Connecting guide tapes (also known as guide ribbons or) by tying a knot

What problem lead: The thick knot easily gets stuck or caught on the scraper blades, causing the guide tape easy to break.

How to solve: Connecting by guide tape welder, the connecting position smooth, and strong. We also offer the guide tape welder.

7. Increase the working temperature too fast result to the belt shrink

What problem lead: If the working temperature heat too fast, when a large temperature differential in short time might cause the belt material to shrank suddenly high.

How to solve: Increase the working temperature slowly step by step.

8. Ignore the important of waxing

What problem lead: If waxing not enough, the ironing performance is poor, accelerated the ironing padding felts and guide belts damage.

How to solve: At least waxing two times in one day, one time waxing at before one day start working. If you hear a "squeaking" sound or notice linens pulling/skewing, it's time to re-wax. The waxing step welcome to refer:
Powder wax application.
