| Point 1: What happens on the machine As we can see from the pictures, this problem mostly happens at the end (tail) of the duvet cover when using the automatic spreader. You can see the slanted, fan-shaped wrinkles right after the machine opens the fabric. When the duvet cover goes into the ironing machine, the heavy rollers squeeze these wrinkles and make them even worse. Once the sheets are put on the hotel bed, these wrinkles are "locked in" and cannot be pulled straight. Point 2: The real reason Even though the wrinkles show up on the automatic spreader, it is not the machine's fault. The real problem is that the sheets are too wet and too heavy. Because the wet sheets have too much water in them, the machine cannot pull them properly, and the vacuum fan is not strong enough to suck and flatten the bottom part. When workers clip the sheets onto the spreader, the heavy fabric is pulled up crookedly, making the tail end come out sideways. |
